In his book Power For Living, T.D.Jakes has a section in the back of the book where he gives us 30 principles to ponder. This one is so good that I want to write the whole thing out.
O Lord, how many are my foes!…But you are a shield around me. O Lord: you bestow glory on me and lift up m head. To the Lord I cry out loud, and he answers me from his holy hill. (Psalm 3:1, 3-4)
David declares that it is the Lord who sustains you in the perilous times of inner struggle and warfare. It is the precious peace of God that eases your tension when you are trying to make decisions in the face of criticism and cynicism. When you realize that some people do not want you to be successful the pressure mounts drastically. Many have said, “God will deliver him.” However, the mere fact that many are saying it doesn’t make it true.
I believe that the safest place in the whole world is in the will of God. If you align your plan with His purpose, success is imminent! On the other hand, if I have not been as successful as I would like to be, then seeking the purpose of God inevitably enriches my resource and makes the impossible attainable.
If the storm comes and I know I am in the will of God, then little else matters.
Until Next Time~
