The God of All Hope

Are you in a never ending tunnel of struggle?

Keep holding on there is hope!

In today’s world, many people have lost all, or most of their hope.

Do I really need to list all the many difficulties that we are dealing with? Take 3 minutes and think about, or write down, as many difficulties as you can. List the ones where hope is gone or fading.

When you think on these things do you still have any hope and optimism left that things will change for the better- or– that you will deal with it better in the future?

Romans 15:13 in the NLT version of the Bible says:

13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Paul was praying for the Roman believers in Christ. Because they trusted God and surrendered their lives to God, he knew God could and would provide them with hope and joy. Getting to that point might take a while for you. But it will happen.

Trust God.
Do your part.
Trust God again, (this time without telling how to fix things).
Cast your cares on Him.

He can and will grant you a hope that will sustain you.
He will fill you with a joy beyond reason while you are going through things.

Some things are VERY painful. Yet, you are never alone. God is there. Friends, family are there if you still have them in your life. As you know there are approximately 2.3 billion Christians who can and will (for the most part) walk with you through your pain and problems. And there are professionals. ALL of these take trust. It also takes vulnerability to share your life with others and admit you need support.

Do not be offended if the first person you ask cannot help. People have different areas they are comfortable with in helping others. Not everyone can help with each issue.

Some people can give you money to help out.
Some people can listen and encourage you.
Some people can provide transportation or a place to stay.
Some people can refer you to someone better suited to help.

The important part is that you trust God to lead you as you willingly surrender to Him.

Follow His leading. It may take some time… but God will see you through.

Hang in there. There is hope!
