Chrisitan are you seeking your purpose? I know what it is.
So many people are trying to find their purpose. they are trying books and programs to come to the light; to finally have that A-HA moment that defines why they were put on earth.
For us today’s verse will finally quiet that stirring to know and bring us peace: We are called to bring people back into a right relationship with God. To reconcile humanity back to the creator so that they may have peace and everlasting life.
I had a big wake up call this morning. I was writing back and forth with my coach last night and finally saw her last reply this morning. In it, she reminded me that blogging for me ultimately is NOT about followers and likes. It is NOT about getting a paid blog so I can create avenues of income.
The purpose of my blog is to share the message and lift the weary. I started this blog to reconcile hurt people back to the Lord. And if I remain on that focus it completely changes how I feel about blogging and stirs my excitement. Instead of the worry and frustration that it is not growing very fast.
How fast it grows is not my business. I can help it grow, but, ultimately it is about reaching that one who needed a word for that day–whether they read this in their reader and it doesn’t register on my stats or if they come to my site. I must keep my focus on my aim and calling.
It is easy to get caught up in “what else”? “Where can this take me?” But that is not our calling. It is ok to set goals and dreams and GO FOR THEM. But ultimately our purpose is to bring others to God.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; All this is from God. Through Christ, God made peace between us and himself. And God gave us the work of bringing everyone into peace with him.
