As readers may know I am I’m grad school currently. I woke to this message from my professor in the class on the Life of Christ:

As we study the life of Christ in the Gospels, I’m reminded of Jesus’ words: “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels” (Mark 8.38). One’s response to the Lord’s teachings is a reflection of the heart’s attitude towards him. There is no such thing as being “for Jesus” but apathetic about what he said and taught. If we do not allow God’s inspired word to be chiseled upon our hearts, then we are not genuinely devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ.
