What is the one “sin” you still haven’t quit completely?

I have been listening to Elizabeth Elliot hour after hour while I walk, clean, or crochet. Her calm voice speaking Biblical truth is magnetic. Her lessons are more profound than Mega- Church “motivational moralism.” They are tough to hear though at times since they do call for introspection and measuring our own standards with the gospel.

I also listened to three other podcast episodes by others that really challenged me. Here is one question to ask, or insight to measure against:

IF I am still allowing myself to cuss (Eph 4:29, Col 3:8, James 3:10)hypothetically as an example of sin:
I must not believe that active sin will take me to Hell.
I must not care that continual sinning “just here and there/ now and then” breaks not only God’s commands,
but (also breaks) His heart that I choose sin and possible eternal separation so casually.”

That is a pretty heavy consideration. Is it incorrect or overly dramatic? No, its Biblical and it makes me uncomfortable. Not matter how we WANT it to be or read…the Bible says:
* The road is narrow and few find it
* Be ye holy as your father in heaven is holy
And this from 1 John 3:6 No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen Him or known Him.

This is the scripture. It is either true or false. We cannot say we are Christians and pick and choose…because that is creating a god of our own understanding. There is one God. All others are idols “things we worship live for instead of the One True God.’

This is some havey stuff that I don’t always look so closely at; hence, I needed to wrestle with my actions and beliefs before posting.
