Prayers For You Originally From Paul, But Today For You From Me

(New Living Translation)

Ephesians 1:15-19

Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom

15 Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere,[a] 16 I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, 17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom[b] and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. 18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.[c]

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power

  1. Thank you Kate! Praying you have a truly wonderful day today!

  2. Thank you for the prayer from God_Paul_Kate, what a nice thought and practice. Cool.
I’d like to pursue this line of praying. Is there a reference you’d recommend?

    1. So Gregory what I did here was just copy the passage. I really love Paul’s prayers for the early Christians. Sometimes they are at the beginning of a book and sometimes mixed in or at the end. I am contemplating 1) speaking them out over my friends and loved ones in prayer 2) writing and rewriting the prayers over and over to add my own words and ideas along his lines. To make them my own and then be able to create them from within me. I don’t know if that helps or not.
