Back in March I wrote a post catching everybody up to date who may still be subscribed. In the post I mentioned I was not sure where I would be going with the blog.

Over the last couple months, through prayer and life events, on my heart has emerged a Ministry to work within the realms of domestic violence.

Domestic violence is a part of my lifelong history. There was mental and emotional and terroristic threatening in my childhood. There has been partner violence against me at two different times separated by decades. And even as an aging parent I have been at the hands of a perpetrator.

I am going to be developing resources, devotions, courses, even trainings for churches, to minister to those who have been at the receiving side of abuse: Children, partners, and parents whose own children assault them (currently only 60% of police departments report that statistic which is 115,000 yearly in the US…so 40% more might bring that to 200,000/250,000)

I have the lived experience. I have the Biblical training. I am pursuing a leadership degree to open doors later for non-profit programs, etc.

I am not saying that this blog will only address these topics. I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be resources and ministry developing here along the way to help those within the pain and recovering from DV. I just started a TikTok, and have secured a website where I plan to have free resources for download.
